Chasing 179 to win, Rajasthan Royals lost opener Unmukt Chand in the third over when the team score was just just 17. He departed after scoring just 2 and became victim of Ojha. The poor run of Mumbai Indians continue and the defending champions are now almost out for the playoff contention as they suffered their 8th defeat today. Kolkata Knight Riders led by Robin Uthappa’s 52 ball 80 crushed Mumbai Indians by 6 wickets today.

Chasing 142 to win, Kolkata Knight Riders got off to a good start with captain Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa adding 50 runs for the first wicket stand. Gambhir was the first to fall after scoring 14. Robin Uthappa stood firm on one end and single handily took the game away from Mumbai Indians. Manish Pandey chipped in with useful 14 but it was 52 ball 80 by Uthappa which sealed the game for KKR. After his departure, Yusuf Pathan scored 13 ball 20 to take his team to a stunning 6 wicket win.
