The poor performance by Delhi continued as they suffered yet another defeat as Rajasthan Royals impressive all round performance helped them win by 64 runs today.

Chasing 202 to win, Delhi never looked in contention for the run chase. Right from the very first over the batsmen looked in pressure and as the first wicket fell in the third over when the score was just 19, wickets started to fell after regular intervals. Mayank Agarwal was the first to fall followed by Dinesh Karthik. Delhi’s hope were on captain Pieterson and JP Duminy but they failed and with their fall, Delhi looked in dire circumstances. Delhi were struggling at 48/4 in 7.4 overs and it looked that they might not be even able to play their complete 20 overs. But Manoj Tiwary stood firm and scored brilliant 61 runs off 44 balls but his efforts went in vain as no other Delhi batsmen could stand up and deliver. Evntually Delhi were able to post 139/9 in 20 overs and thus lost the match by 62 runs.

Earlier Rajasthan Royals were invited to bat first by Delhi Daredevils. Royals got off to a good start with openers Ajinkya Rahane and Karun Nair adding 44 for the first wicket stand. After the wicket fall, Rahane and Kevon Cooper started playing aggressive cricket and took the score to 93 in 10.a overs. Cooper was the next to fall but his 16 ball 32 set the platform for a good total. Rahane on the other end continued his good form and completed his half century. He played superbly for his 64 before being bowled out of Nadeem. Sanju Samson’s 25 ball 40 and James Faulkner’s 8 ball 23 helped Royals post a total of 201/6 in 20 overs.

The poor run of Mumbai Indians continue and the defending champions are now almost out for the playoff contention as they suffered their 8th defeat today. Kolkata Knight Riders led by Robin Uthappa’s 52 ball 80 crushed Mumbai Indians by 6 wickets today.

Chasing 142 to win, Kolkata Knight Riders got off to a good start with captain Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa adding 50 runs for the first wicket stand. Gambhir was the first to fall after scoring 14. Robin Uthappa stood firm on one end and single handily took the game away from Mumbai Indians. Manish Pandey chipped in with useful 14 but it was 52 ball 80 by Uthappa which sealed the game for KKR. After his departure, Yusuf Pathan scored 13 ball 20 to take his team to a stunning 6 wicket win.

Earlier Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to field. Mumbai Indians once again failed to get a good start as they lost opener Chidhambaram Gautam when the team score was just 12. Lendl Simmons also failed and got out after scoring 12. Mumbai were struggling at 35/2 in 5.1 overs and needed Ambati Rayudu and captain Rohit Sharma to perform. The duo added 35 runs in 6.4 overs as Chawla got the wicket of Rayudu(33 off 27 balls). Captain Rohit Sharma and Corey Anderson took the team score past 100. Rohit completed his 50 but was soon bowled by Nariane for 51. Eventually Mumbai were able to post 141/5 in 20 overs.

Kings XI Punjab continued their dominance and registered an emphatic 6 wickets win today by chasing down 205 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Chasing 206 to win, KXIP lost Sehwag in the very first over when the team score was just 4. But Manan Vohra and Wriddhiman Saha brought the team back on the run chase as the duo added 91 runs in 6.5 overs. Vohra scored 47 in 20 balls where as Saha scored 54 in 26 ball to give Sunrisers bowlers nightmares. Even after the wicket of Saha in the 8th over, Glenn Maxwell continued from where he left. He smashed 5 sixes in his 22 ball 43. David Miller also chipped in with useful 24 ball 24 but it was captain Bailey who in the end scored 35 in 19 balls to take his team to a scintillating 6 wicket win.

Earlier Kings XI Punjab won the toss and invited Sunrisers to bat first. The openers added 65 runs in 8 overs after which Finch got out after scoring 20. Captain Dhawan was the next to fall after scoring 45. Naman Ojha and David Warner then smashed KXIP bowlers and took the team score past 150 run mark. Warner was run out after scoring 44 in the 19th over but Ojha remained unbeaten on 36 ball 79 to help SRH post a total of 205/5 in 20 overs.
