Gilchrist was the first to get out and soon Gibbs to followed.Suman and Sharma then came to bat but Sharma got out after scoring just 9 runs. The whole stake of the team was now on Symond and he didnt let it down. Symonds hammered bowlers to all corners and scored 60 runs of just 36 balls (4*2,6*4). Kings XI Punjab started of well in the run chase and scored 41 runs for first wicket partnership . Sohal was the first to get out and very soon Katich also got out leaving Kings XI Punjab 42/2 in the 5th over.
