Match 37 Mumbai Indians Take On Chennai Super Kings

Match Details
Match: 37 T20, IPL3
Venue: MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai
Date: April 6, 2010
Time: 8:00 pm

The table toppers, Mumbai Indians will take on rusty Chennai Super Kings in the 37th match of DLF Indian Premier League 2010 today at Chepauk. Mumbai Indians who have already booked a place in semi’s have played superb cricket so far. Sachin Tendulkar has led from the front and thus Mumbai have won 7 out of the 8 matches played so far. On the other hand, Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings have won just 4 out of 9 matches and would thus be looking forward to this match to get the momentum. CSK needs to win this match and get back to winning track and thus make sure the road to semi’s is some what easy for them. But with the kind of form Mumbai Indians are in, CSK might need to show the best of their ability.

Today in the 27th match of DLF IPL 2010, IPL points table toppers, Mumbai Indians will take on the table’s bottom ranked team i.e. Kings XI Punjab. This match seems to be a one sided match seeing the excellent current form of Mumbai Indians and poor form of Kings XI Punjab. Kings XI Punjab have won just one game so far and that too in a superover where as Mumbai Indians have played like a team and have attained the top spot so far in points table.

In his absence, Mahela Jayawardene is supposed to be the stand in captain today and fans of Kings XI Punjab do hope that the bad luck of team will end today with Mahela Jayawardene as the captain.

Match 25 Mumbai Indians Crush Deccan Chargers

Match: 25th T20, IPL3
Venue: Mumbai
Date: March 28, 2010
Toss: Deccan Chargers elected to field.
Result: Mumbai Indians won by 41 runs

Deccan Chargers invited Mumbai Indians to bat first today in the 25th match of DLF Indian Premier League 2010. Though Mumbai Indians lost the opener S Dhawan when the team score was just 24 but Sachin Tendulkar once again showed his class and kept on to score 55runs. Mumbai Indians middle order fumbled and wickets kept falling regularly and at one stage it looked that they wont be able to score more than 130. But then Harbhajan Singh came to bat and threw his bat on almost everthing. He scored 49 off just 18 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes. It was the cameo from Turbanator which took the team to a decent total of 172/7 in 20 overs.

Chasing the target of 173, Deccan Chargers got the worst possible start as they lost Adam Gilchrist in the very first over by Harbhajan leaving Deccan Chargers at 0/1. This was such a jolt that Deccan Chargers could never came back. They kept loosing wickets and were reduced to 50/4 in 6 overs. Run rate was increasing and no partnership was building up, only Rohit Sharma stood tall for some time but he could not find any support from other batsmen and finally they were all out for 131. Thus Mumbai Indians won the match by 41 runs, thanks to superb performance of Harbhajan Singh both with bat and bowl
