Today in the 48th match of IPL 2013, Delhi Daredevils won the toss and elected to bat first. Mahela Jayawardene was the first to fall as he got out when the team score was just 13. Virender Sehwag also got out soon leaving Delhi at 32/2 in 7.1 overs. Unmukt Chand was the next to fall and Delhi were struggling at 50/3 in 10.5 overs. In the bid to increase the run rate, wickets started to fall and the whole batting order collapsed. From 50/3 Delhi were all out for 80 with Unmukt Chand top scoring as he managed to score 17 off 24 balls.

Chasing 81 to win, Parthiv Patel and Shikhar Dhawan added 33 runs for the first wicket. Shikhar Dhawan was the first to fall as he was out after scoring 22. With this wicket, Delhi bounced back as they took 2 quick wickets to reduce Sunrisers to 43/3 in 6.5 overs. Today in the 44th match of IPL 2013, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bat first. Captain Gautam Gambhir got run out on the second ball of the innings when the team score was just 4. Man in form for Kolkata Manvinder Bisla was the next to go as he was bowled by Yadav in the third over. With 16/2 in 2.2 overs, KKR needed a partnership and Yusuf Pathan, Eoin Morgan and Jacques Kallis got some starts but failed to convert them into a big score. With 50/5 in 8.3 overs, KKR looked in dire circumstances but some good batting display by the lower middle order helped them post 136/7 in 20 overs.

Chasing 137 to win, Virender Sehwag and captain Mahela Jayawardene added 23 runs in 3.4 overs before Sehwag got out after scoring 17 off 15 balls. Soon captain Mahela Jayawardene also got out giving some hope to KKR. But Unmukt Chand and David Warner then controlled the situation with a 95 run stand. Unmukt Chand scored 37 in 39 balls before getting out. But the damage was done as David Warner hit 66 in 42 balls which included 6 fours and 3 sixes to take his team to a superb 7 wicket win.
