Kings XI Punjab continued their good run and thrashed Royal Challangers Bangalore by 32 runs thanks to superb batting by David Miller and bowling by Sandeep Sharma.

Chasing 199 to win, Royal Challengers Bangalore succumbed to the lethal bowling of Sandeep Sharma as he got the wickets of Top three RCB batsmen. RCB lost Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli on successive balls and were struggling at 8/2 in 2.2 overs. Parthiv Patel and Sachin Rana then took the score to 26 when again Sandeep striked and got the wicket of Patel. AB de Villers was the only hope for RCB and he did played beautifully for his 26 ball 53 but lacked support from other end. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals and eventually RCB could manage to score 166/9 in 20 overs and thus lost the match by 32 runs.

Earlier Kings XI Punjab were invited to bat by RCB. The openers Virender Sehwag and Mandeep Singh gaev a thumping start as the duo added 60 runs in first 6 overs. Both the openers fell within the span of 6 balls which brought the most dangerous IPL Jodi Glenn Maxwell and David Miller to the crease. RCB were able to tame Maxwell as he got out after scoring 25 off 11 balls but Miller hammered RCB bowlers to all corners. He scored a brilliant 29 ball 66 and thus helped KXIP post a good total of 198/8 in 20 overs.

Indian soil seems to be the fortune changer for Mumbai as they won their second match today. In a high scoring match, Mumbai Indians edge past Royal Challangers Bangalore by 19 runs.

Chasing 188 to win, RCB got off to a flying start with openers Chris Gayle and Parthiv Patel adding 53 runs in 5 overs for the first wicket stand. Parthiv Patel was the first wicket to fall as he was bowled by Harbhajan but his 19 ball 26 had given a good start to RCB. Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli then took from where Patel left and the duo took the score to 94 at which again Harbhajan striked and got the wicket of dangerous looking Gayle. AB de Villers and Kohli then took the team score past 100 run mark. Just when the duo started to take the match away from Mumbai, Bumrah bowled AB de Villers and in the very next over, Virat Kohli also got out after scoring 35. This twin blow brought Mumbai back into the game and the bowlers seized the opportunity. One after the another, wickets started to fall. RCB needed 35 to win from last 2 overs but with no set batsmen on crease, they could manage to score just 168/8 and thus lost the match by 19 runs.

Earlier RCB won the toss and elected to field. Mumbai Indians openers added 25 runs in 3 overs before Ben Dunk got out. Chidhambaram Gautam and Ambati Rayudu then took the team score past 50. Rayudu was the next to fall when the team score was 71, soon followed by Gautam who scored 28 ball 30. Corey Anderson got out after scoring just 6 leaving Mumbai at 84/4 in 9.4 overs. Captain Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard then smashed every RCB bowler and took the score past 150. Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten and scored 59 in 35 balls which included 3 fours and 4 sixes. Pollard scored 31 ball 43 which included 6 fours. It was the scintillating batting from this duo which helped Mumbai post a good total of 187/5 in 20 overs

In a scintillating display of power batting, AB de Villers played a knock of 89 off 41 balls to take RCB to a 4 wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Chasing 156 to win, RCB got off to a poor start as they lost opener Parthiv Patel and captain Virat Kohli in the second over whe the team score was just 6. With 6/2 in 2 overs, RCB were looking for a partnership, Gayle and Rilee added few runs but Karn got better of Gayle and got his wicket to reduce RCB to 38/3 in 6.4 overs. Rilee and AB De Villers then took the score past 50 but Karn once again got back into action and got the wicket of Rilee Rossouw. Yuvraj got a start but could not capitalize and was out for 14. Though wickets kept falling of the other end, AB de Villers stood firm on one end and kept hitting fours and sixes at will. At one stage it looked that match is slipping away from RCB but he hit 3 sixes in a Dale Steyn over to bring RCB back in the game. Eventually it was his knock of 89 off 41 balls which included 6 fours and 8 sixes which helped RCB win the match by 4 wickets.

Earlier RCB won the toss and invited SRH to bat first. Sunrisers got off to a slow start as they lost both two wickets and were reduced to 29/2 in 4 overs. Captain Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner then took the charge and played sensible cricket. Shikhar Dhawan got out after scoring 37 but Warner continued his good run and scored 61 off 49 balls to help Sunrisers post a decent total of 155/6 in 20 overs.
