Deccan Chargers were invited to bat first by Kings XI Punjab and the openers of Deccan Chargers took full advantage of some lose bowling. Though Laxman was retired hurt early but Gilchrist and Gibbs played sensational innings. The real superstar for Deccan Chargers was Symonds who smashed quick fire 53 runs. Deccan Chargers middle order crumbled and from 100/2 the went down to112/4. But then a good performance by Vaas and Suman helped them score 170/7 in allotted 20 overs.

Kings XI Punjab Innings
Desperate to win this match, Kings XI Punjab wanted a good start to chase 170. But they lost two quick wickets and were reeling at 11/2 in 3 overs. They needed a partnership and that never came. From 11/2 they were reduced to 68/6 in 12 overs and were virtually fighting a lost battle. Irfan Pathan did gave a little scare to Deccan Chargers and was the highest run getter for Kings XI, he scored 60 off just 29 balls before getting out and ending the last hope for Kings XI. They could score 164/8 in allotted 20 overs and thus lost by 6 runs.

Kings XI poor run in the tournament continues and thus now they need to do something spectacular if they want to even think about being in semis.

In the 11th match today, Delhi Daredevils won the toss and elected to bat first. They got to a flying start with Sehwag at his devastating best. Though other Delhi batsmen contributed a little, but it was Sehwag’s who stole the show. He scored 74 runs off just 38 balls (4*10, 3*6). After a good start, Delhi Daredevils fumbled in the middle orders and lost some quick wickets. But in the end, Mithun Manhas and Rajat Bhatia scored some quick runs and helped them score 185/6 in 20 overs.

Chasing a target of 187 to win, Chennai Super Kings started off well and scored 50/1 in 5 overs. The main stay was Hayden who with his mongoose bat was a source of attraction. Hayden’s mongoose bat wrecked Delhi Daredevils bowlers and his blitzkrieg innings had put Chennai on top. Hayden scored 93 runs off just 43 balls ( 9*4,7*6). At one moment it looked all over for Delhi but then Hayden and Morkel’s wicket fell and Chennai were placed at 154/4 in 14.2 overs. Suresh Raina (captain) along with Murali Vijay then played well and ensured they dont mess up a brilliant effort by Hayden. Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 10 wickets

Today in the 10th match of DLF IPL 2010, Bangalore Royal Challengers thrashed Rajasthan Royals by 10 wickets.

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and elected to bowl first. RCB Bowlers showed the best bowling so far in the tournament and never let Rajasthan Royals score runs at will. Rajasthan Royals batsmen were choked and were finding it really hard to score. To add to this, Praveen Kumar’s Hat trick acted as the last nail in coffin and thus Rajasthan Royals could manage only 92/10 in 19.5 overs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore had to chase a small total and they did that in style. From the first over, they attacked Rajasthan Royals and scored boundaries at regular interval. It took them just 10.4 overs to register second consecutive win and move up in Points Table.
