Royal Challengers Won By 7 Wickets Against Mumbai Indians

Match: 14th T20, IPL3
Date: 20 March 2010
Toss: Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bat first.
Venue: Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai
Result : Royal Challengers Won By 7 Wickets

Mumbai Indians Innings
Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bat first, though they kept losing wickets at regular interval but Tendulkar, Saurabh Tiwary, R Satish, K Pollard chipped in with small yet useful innings. At one stage it looked they would not reach 150 run mark but a cameo from Zaheer Khan helped them score 151/9 in 20 overs. The collapse of middle order helped Royal Challengers restrict them to a low total thus helped them stop the winning path of Mumbai Indians

Royal Challengers Bangalore Innings
After restricting Mumbai Indians for 151, it was the turn of batsmen to guide them to victory. Royal Challengers Bangalore got off to a flying start and scored 85/1 in 9.5 overs. Manish Pandey and Jacques Kallis again shattered the opponent bowling attack and took control of the match. Though in middle orders, it looked that Mumbai Indians have some chance as the match was taken to last over. But Royal Challengers Bangalore batsmen kept the cool and finally won the match by 7 wickets. Jacques Kallis was given man of the match due to his excellent performance. Once again it was Kallis who stole the show and helped the RCB win a match.

This was the first loss of Mumbai Indians where as now it looks that Royal Challengers Bangalore are on a winning streak as today they have defeated the most formidable side of IPL 3.
