Today in the 13th match of Pepsi IPL 2013, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat first. On the very first ball of the match, Kusal Perera got LBW giving Pune a perfect start. But Pune bowlers could not break the partnership of Ajinkya Rahane and Rahul Dravid as the duo added 81 runs in 11.1 overs. Captain Rahul Dravid again came to his team’s rescue with a superb 48 ball 54 which included 8 boundaries. Some good shots in the death overs by Brad Hodge and James Faulkner helped Royals post a total of 145/5 in 20 overs.

Chasing 146 to win, Pune Warriors got off to a flying start with Robin Uthappa and Aaron Finch adding 58 runs for the first wicket partnership in just 4.4 overs before Robin Uthappa got out after scoring 32 off 16 balls which included 3 fours and 2 sixes. Ross Taylor and Aaron Finch then took the team score past 100 and in the 12th over, Ross Taylor got out leaving Pune at 104/2 in 12 overs. Aaron Finch was the next to fall but he had done his job well. He scored 64 off 53 balls (6×4,3×6) and took his team inches away from victory. Yuvraj Singh also chipped in with a useful 28 off 23 balls (2×4,2×6)and took his team towards 7 wicket win.
