Today in the 45th match of IPL 2013, Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat first. Wriddhiman Saha and Michael Hussey added 27 runs for the first wicket stand before Wriddhiman Saha got out. With this, Suresh Raina came to the center and he took total control of the situation. He along with M Hussey added 55 runs before Hussey got out after scoring 35 in 29 balls. But there was no stopping by for Suresh Raina who hammered every KXIP bowler. Shaun Marsh scored 73 off 51 balls and maintained KXIP’s hopes for a win. After his wicket, David Miller continued from where he had left and kept the hopes alive. Needing 19 to win from last over, KXIP lost the plot as three wickets fell in that over and finally they could manage to post 171/6 in 20 overs.

Today in the 44th match of IPL 2013, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bat first. Captain Gautam Gambhir got run out on the second ball of the innings when the team score was just 4. Man in form for Kolkata Manvinder Bisla was the next to go as he was bowled by Yadav in the third over. With 16/2 in 2.2 overs, KKR needed a partnership and Yusuf Pathan, Eoin Morgan and Jacques Kallis got some starts but failed to convert them into a big score. With 50/5 in 8.3 overs, KKR looked in dire circumstances but some good batting display by the lower middle order helped them post 136/7 in 20 overs.

After Sangakkara’s wicket, Hanuma Vihari and S Dhawan took the team inches close to victory before Hanuma got out. But Shikhar Dhawan’s 55 ball 73 helped Sunrisers thrash Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets.
