In a thrilling encounter today, Chennai Super Kings kept their nerves and clinched the match by 7 runs, thanks to the superb all round performance by Ravindra Jadeja.

Chasing 141 to win, Rajasthan Royals lost Abhishek Nayar in the second over when the team score was just 10. Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson then added 27 runs before Rahane got out. A twin blow in the 7th over as captain Shane Watson and Sanju Samson fell of consecutive balls by Ravindra Jadeja brought CSK back in the match. A superb innings of 89 in 45 balls (8×4,6×6) by Glenn Maxwell along with the firecrackers in the final overs by David Miller (51 off 19 balls, 0x4, 6×6) helped Kings XI Punjab achieve yet another high score and register a comfortable win chasing 192. Kings XI Punjab got off to a poor start with Virender Sehwag getting out in the second over soon followed by Wriddhiman Saha.
