Today in the 50th match of Pepsi IPL 2013, Pune Warriors won the toss and elected to bat first. Robin Uthappa and Aaron Finch gave them flying start as they added 97 runs for the first wicket stand. Aaron Finch was the first who got out as he was bowled by Cooper after he scored 45 off 32 balls. Yuvraj Singh looked good but his innings ended after he scored just 15. Uthappa was run out by Samson and thus Pune were placed at 129/3 in 15.2 overs. Mitchell Marsh then played a cameo of 35 off 21 balls and along with Angelo Mathews helped Pune post a good total of 178/4 in 20 overs.

Chasing 179 to stay alive in the competition, captain Rahul Dravid and Ajinkya Rahane added 98 runs for the first wicket stand in 11.5 overs. Rahul Dravid scored a brilliant 40 ball 58 before getting out. The stage was set for a perfect chase but the fall of Watson, Rahane and Brad Hodge raised hopes for Pune. Needing 28 to win from 12 balls, the match was poised for an interesting finish but Stuart Binny once again bailed Royals out with his camoe of 32 off 13 bals which included 2 fours and 2 sixes. Finally Royals were able to reach the victory target with 1 ball to spare and 5 wickets in hand.

Today in the 46th match of IPL 2013, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and elected to bat first. Openers Saurabh Tiwary and Chris Gayle added 36 runs in 6.3 overs for the first wicket stand. Chris Gayle was the first wicket to fell as he got out after scoring 21 off 21 balls. Virat Kohli scored 25 off 18 balls before getting out. Saurab Tiwary’s 45 ball 52 and a cameo of 23 ball 50 by AB de Villers helped RCB post a total of 187/3 in 20 overs.

Chasing 188 was never going to be easy for Pune and they needed a good start. But man in form Aaron Finch got out after scoring just 15 when the team score was 20. Tirumalasetti Suman was run out by Murlitharan soon leaving Pune at 46/2 in 7 overs. Robin Uthappa looked solid at one end and needed some one to support from the other end, though Yuvraj Singh and Angelo Mathews got some starts but they could not convert it to a big score. With his wicket, RCB bounced back and restricted Pune to 170/9 and thus won the match by 17 runs.

Top scorer for Chennai Michael Hussey failed in this match and was bowled by Richardson when the team score was just 6. Wriddhiman Saha also fell cheaply leaving Chennai struggling at 28/2 in 5.4 overs. Suresh Raina and Subramaniam Badrinath then steadied the innings, Suresh Raina smashed 63 off 50 balls which included 5 fours and 1 six.
