Today in the 50th match of Pepsi IPL 2013, Pune Warriors won the toss and elected to bat first. Robin Uthappa and Aaron Finch gave them flying start as they added 97 runs for the first wicket stand. Aaron Finch was the first who got out as he was bowled by Cooper after he scored 45 off 32 balls. Yuvraj Singh looked good but his innings ended after he scored just 15. Uthappa was run out by Samson and thus Pune were placed at 129/3 in 15.2 overs. Mitchell Marsh then played a cameo of 35 off 21 balls and along with Angelo Mathews helped Pune post a good total of 178/4 in 20 overs.

Chasing 179 to stay alive in the competition, captain Rahul Dravid and Ajinkya Rahane added 98 runs for the first wicket stand in 11.5 overs. Rahul Dravid scored a brilliant 40 ball 58 before getting out. The stage was set for a perfect chase but the fall of Watson, Rahane and Brad Hodge raised hopes for Pune. Needing 28 to win from 12 balls, the match was poised for an interesting finish but Stuart Binny once again bailed Royals out with his camoe of 32 off 13 bals which included 2 fours and 2 sixes. Finally Royals were able to reach the victory target with 1 ball to spare and 5 wickets in hand.
