Delhi Daredevils Scored 191- Thanks To Gambhir and Dhawan

Bangalore Royal Challenger won the toss today in the 17 match of DLF- IPL but things didn’t went the way they wished and Delhi Daredevils scored at a super run rate. They lost the first wicket at 51 in form of Sehwag who scored 24 runs of just 12 balls. Gautam Gambhir on the other end played some phenomenal shots and got on to score 86 runs in just 54 balls. Shikar Dhawan also scored 50 and the duo took the score past 151. Dhawan was then caught out brilliantly one handed by Rahul Dravid. But till then most of the damage was done. Delhi Daredevils scored at more than 10 runs per over in almost the entire innings. In the last few overs they lost some quick wickets but still they managed to score a total of 191 runs in 20 overs.

SC dismisses plea to restrain Mallya’s team from playing IPL

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed the petition seeking to restrain a team owned by liquor baron Vijay Mallya from playing in the Indian Premier League under the banner of ‘The Royal Challengers’.
The petition filed by a Faridabad-based resident, Kishan Kumar Aggarwal, alleged that under the garb of ‘The Royal Challengers Bangalore Team’, the United Breweries Group was seeking to promote its brands of liquor.

Chennai Super Kings won by 13 runs

In a thrilling match today in DLF – IPL, Chennai Super Kings defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 13 runs. Earlier Dhoni and Hussey played gem of an innings and took the score to 178 in 20 overs. Royal Challengers started the run chase with much confidence and Jaffer and Taylor both scored half centuries. They way the duo was batting it looked that Royal Challengers are upto a big fight today. But once the partnership was over, there was no batsmen who could take up the challenge. The fielding of the Chennai Super Kings was excellent and two run outs proved to be too heavy for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Dhoni seems to have immense faith in Joginder Sharma and it was again that Joginder was given the last over and he did not let the captain down.Royal Challengers have lost all the matches and Chennai Super Kings are on a winning path.

Chennai Super Kings Scored 178 Against Royal Challengers

In the 15th match of DLF- IPL Chennai Super Kings won the toss and decided to bat first. They lost Mathew Hayden when the total was 22 but this did not deter the run rate and they were maintaining the run rate of more than 7 almost in the entire match. Parthiv Patel was the next to go when the score was 42 in 6.3 overs. Hussey yet again played a useful innings and got on to score 47 runs in 36 balls. Raina stroked some good shots in a short cameo of 28 runs in 17 balls. After Raina got out, the captain Mahinder Singh Dhoni came into the center and played some exquisite shots and scored 65 runs in 30 balls. He showed the enormous talent he has by hitting some good bowls to the fence. His shots looked so effortless but the balls was racing to the fence at ultra high speed. Dhoni got his 50 in just 24 balls and scored 24 runs in the 19th over.In the last 5 over 76 runs were scored which helped in increasing the run rate to 8.90

It was the heroic of Dhoni and Hussey that helped Chennai Super Kings to post a target of 179 runs in 20 overs. Now its upto the bowlers to restrict the Royal Challengers and thus continue the winning stride.
