Minister of State for Home Siddharam Mhetre says no cheers to cheer leaders for their vulgar and obscene performance during the Mumbai – Bangalore match.

He says: “We live in India where womanhood is worshipped. How can anything obscene like this can be allowed?” he asked. Mhetyre wondered why the organisers require “semi- nude” women to entertain people at cricket matches.

Noted actor Anupam Kher, who is fascinated by the idea of movie stars buying Indian Premier League (IPL) teams, says the combination of cricket and Bollywood is a welcome change. ‘Cricket initially used to be a half entertaining game, but now it has become a full time entertainer. Instead of five-day Test matches, we now have 50-over and 20-over games,’ Anupam told IANS during a visit here.

‘It suits the requirement of our fast-paced life. The audience wants instant change and cricket is providing that.’ He is thrilled that movie stars – Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta – have bought IPL teams and are cheering for them.

The DLF – Indian Premier League is becoming a real source of entertainment with all the teams performing there best to win the match. When Deccan Chargers scored 214 in 20 0vers, it looked a difficult task to achieve. But Rajasthan Royals played brilliant  cricket and won the match by 3 wickets. Yousaf scored the fastest fifty of the tournament and when he was batting it looked Rajasthan Royals are very much in the game. But he was out at the team score of 112. Smith took the responsibility for taking Rajasthan Royals to victory and scored a fifty. But the run rate was climbing and that what forced the players to do some lusty hitting. Kaif hit 3 sixes on 1 over of Symonds and Rajasthan Royals looked in complete charge of the game. But Shahid Afridi had different plans and in the 17 over of the inning he got two major breakthroughs. It could have been three if the catch was not dropped. Rajasthan Royals needed 21 runs from the last 10 balls and it could be anyone’s game. R P Singh was given the second last over and he bowled brilliantly by giving just singles on first two balls and then got the wicket of Ravindra Jadeja.In the next two balls a single and a wicket was what Deccan Chargers got. In the last over Rajasthan Royals needed 17 runs and Symond was the one who was bowling. The first ball was hit for two, second for a single.third was hit for a four. In the last 3 balls they needed 10 runs. The fourth ball was hit for a six by Shane Warne and then Shane Warne striked the ball for 1 more six and it was all over for Deccan Chargers.

What a treat to watch Andrew Symonds Bat. Today again he proved why he was the second highest paid player of DLF – IPL.After loosing the toss, Deccan Chargers were invited to bat first and they had initial problems when they lost Gilchrist and Afridi when team score was 32.Then Laxman and Symonds had a decent partnership and took the score to 75. Warne broke the partnership by catching of Laxman of his own bowling.But there was no looking back for Symonds who on the other end was hitting the ball to all corners of the ground.He completed his 100 in less than 50 balls. But he didn’t stopped at this. Munaf Patel was the one who took most of the hammering.Rohit Sharma on the other end played positively and helped the team to score at a very fast rate.They both took the score to 186 in 18 overs before Sharma got out.Symonds scored a total of 117 runs in 53 balls which included 7 sixes and 11 fours.Deccan Chargers scored a total of in the alloted 20 overs and thus posed a nice total to chase for Rajasthan Royals.
