Chasing 134 to win, Rajasthan Royals lost opener Abhishek Nayar in the very first over when the team score was just 4. Soon Sanju Samson and captain Shane Watson also got out leaving Rajasthan struggling at 31/3 in 6.2 overs. Ajinkya Rahane and Stuart Binny then came to the team’s rescue as the duo added 77 runs in 9.2 overs and took the score past 100. When it looked that Royals are heading towards an easy win, Mishra striked and got the wicket of Rahane. At this stage the match was equally poised as Royals needed 26 off last 4 overs but some excellent bowling by Sunrisers helped them get some quick wickets and make the chase difficult. Royals needed 8 to win from the last over and it ws Stuart Binny who held the nerves and made sure Royals register their first win in the 2014 season of IPL.
Earlier Rajasthan Royals won the toss and invited Sunrisers to bat first. Sunrisers Hyderabad lost opener Aaron Finch on the fifth ball of the innings when the team score was just 2. But captain Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner then had a partnership of 75 which laid a platform for a good total. But two quick wickets peg them back and then some good bowling by Royals finally restricted Sunrisers to 133/6 in 20 overs
