Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat first but they got to a dismal start as they lost Michael Lumb on the very first ball of the match.Faiz Fazal and Naman Ojha then steadied the innings and played some shots. Just when it looked that Rajasthan Royals are getting back on track, they lost Fazal and soon after Ojha. Rajasthan Royals superstar Yusuf Pathan could also score just 15 runs and at one stage it looked they could not cross the 150 mark. But then a fine performance by A Jhunjhunwala and A Voges helped the team score 168/7 in 20 overs

Kolkata Knight Riders Innings
Chasing a target of 169, Kolkata Knight Riders started off with caution. Rajasthan Royals also shocked them by opening the bowling with Yusuf Pathan, though this gamble paid off as he took two wickets and never allowed the batsmen to score runs with ease. Kolkata Knight Riders were cramped for runs and with each over, the required run rate was mounting on them. Though singles and doubles were coming off easily but it was fours and sixes which they needed. Kolkata Knight Riders were 109/3 in 16 overs and needed 60 runs in last 4 overs. Owais Shah did hit few sixes and the target was 42 needed in 2 overs. But an over from Shaun Tait changed the whole game for KKR. He bowled a wonderful second last over and the equation changed. Kolkata Knight Riders needed 37 runs in last over and it was all over for Shahrukh’s KKR. They lost the match by 34 runs.

With this win, Rajasthan Royals have finally opened the account in points table and are now one place ahead of Kings XI Punjab.

Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 10 wickets

Today in the 10th match of DLF IPL 2010, Bangalore Royal Challengers thrashed Rajasthan Royals by 10 wickets.

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and elected to bowl first. RCB Bowlers showed the best bowling so far in the tournament and never let Rajasthan Royals score runs at will. Rajasthan Royals batsmen were choked and were finding it really hard to score. To add to this, Praveen Kumar’s Hat trick acted as the last nail in coffin and thus Rajasthan Royals could manage only 92/10 in 19.5 overs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore had to chase a small total and they did that in style. From the first over, they attacked Rajasthan Royals and scored boundaries at regular interval. It took them just 10.4 overs to register second consecutive win and move up in Points Table.

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and decided to field first and the bowlers didnt let the captain down. In the first 4 overs Rajasthan openers managed just 20 runs and this poor run rate was building enormous pressure on Yousaf Pathan. Pathan got two lives as he was dropped twice with in the gap of few balls but still could not take advantage of it as he was run out brilliantly by Virat Kohli. After 15 overs, Rajasthan Royals could score only 78/4.

To add to woes of Rajasthan Royals, Praveen Kumar wrecked the lower middle order with a hattrick thus reducing them to 85/7 in 16.4 overs.

Over all Royal Challengers Bangalore Bowlers did a splendid job and never gave away easy runs. Every bowler bowled economically, the bowler with the highest economy was Vinay Kumar ( economy 6.25) which in itself is very very good when compared in T20 cricket. They had restricted Rajasthan Royals at 92/10 in 9.5 overs and now it looks an easy win for them.
