Today in the second qualifier of IPL 2014, Kings XI Punjab will take on Chennai Super Kings at 8 pm Indian Standard Time.

This is a do or die situation for both the teams as the winner will move to the finals to take on Kolkata Knight Riders on June 1 and the loser will have to pack his back and go home. All the efforts so far will go in vain for the loosing team today. Ironically both these teams remained Number 1 and Number 2 for most of the season till KKR turned the fortunes and displaced Chennai from Number 2.

Kings XI Punjab who had the best season so far are coming into this match with a humiliating defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders in the first qualifier. KXIP who are considered to be the best chasers lost the momentum in the last match but would be hoping to come back strongly against Chennai today and take revenge of their two defeats at the hand of CSK in league stage.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings are coming into this match by defeating Mumbai Indians and also have an edge over KXIP as they have defeated them twice in the league stage. CSK will be hoping to repeat the performance and move to the finals of IPL 2014.
