Sunrisers Hyderbad stunned Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets today, thanks to the superb batting performance by Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner. With this win, Sunrisers Hyderbad have kept themselves alive in the season and can still qualify for the playoffs.

Chasing 186 to win, Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to a flying start as Shikar Dhawan and David Warner added 116 runs for the first wicket stand in 11.2 overs. Warner got out after scoring 90 in 45 balls but by the time he left, match was in the favor of Hyderabad. Though thee wickets fell quickly but Shikhar Dhawan remained unbeaten on 64 and guided his team to a superb 6 wicket win.

Earlier SRH invited Chennai to bat and CSK openers added 33 runs in 3.3 overs after which Faf du Plessis was run out by Karn. Dwayne Smith continued his good form and scored 47 before getting out. Suresh Raina failed today as he managed to score just 4. CSK were reduced to 77/3 in 8.4 overs when David Hussey and MS Dhoni combined well for them. Hussey scored a brilliant 33 ball 50 where as Dhoni scored 57 in 41 ball to help CSK post 185/3 in 20 overs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad kept their hopes alive with a stunning 7 wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore thanks to superb batting by openers Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner.

Chasing 161 to win, SRH got off to a flying start as the openers added 100 runs in 12.3 overs after which Dhawan got run out for50 in 39 balls. SRH were cruising on well when Aaron got the priced wicket of Warner(59 off 46 balls) when the team score was 126. Naman Ojha contributed well with 20 ball 24 but RCB bowlers tightened the game in the final overs. Eventually Sunrisers managed to keep their cool and win the match in the last over by 7 wickets.

Earlier Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and elected to bat first. They lost opener Parthiv Patel in the very first over when the team score was just 5. Chris Gayle also failed and was out for 14 when the team score was just 23. Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh then steadied the RCB innings and added 57 runs in 7.1 overs. Kohli was the top scorer for RCB with 67 off 41 balls. Some late hitting by AB de Villers(29 off 17 balls) helped them post a total of 160/6 in 20 overs.

Kolkata Knight Riders thrashed Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets to keep their hopes to qualify for playoffs intact.

Chasing 143 to win, KKR lost captain Gautam Gambhir in the second over when the team score was just 8 but Robin Uthappa and Manish Pandey then steadied the innings nd took the score past 50. Robin Uthappa (40 off 33 balls) was then run out by Sammy when the team score was 59. Manish Pandey and Yusuf Pathan then played sensible cricket as they knew its just that they have to play complete overs and runs will come. Sunrisers total was not so high that it could exert any pressure, the only way they could win was to take wickets which the duo denied. They took the score past 100 run mark after which Pandey got out after scoring 35. Yusuf Pathan continued from the other end and remained unbeaten on 39 and was well supported by Ryan ten Doeschate who played a cameo of 25 in 15 balls to take his team to a superb 7 wicket win.

Earlier Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bat first. Aaron Finch and Shikhar Dhawan opened the innings but Umesh Yadav got the first breakthrough in form of Finch in the second over when the team score was just 14. Shikhar Dhawan started well but could not capitalize on his start and got out after scoring 14 ball 19. Naman Ojha and David Warner too got starts but could not build on it but David Warner’s cameo of 34 in 18 balls along with Irfan Pathan’s 23 helped Sunrisers post a total of 142/8 in 20 overs. Umesh Yadav was the pick of the bowlers as he took 3/26 in his 4 overs.
