See IPL 2010 Matches Live In Cinema Theatres

UFO Moviez, the world’s largest digital satellite cine network had decided to screen IPL 2010 matches live in cinema theatres so that viewers can enjoy each moment of it. This decision has delighted not only cricket lovers all across the country but also the multiplex owners as the matches would be shown in very high definition digital format without any commercial interruptions. Thus both the cricket lovers would enjoysingle moment of the match and it would also increase the revenues of the multiplexes.

UFO has recently tied up with Crown Infotainment who owns the distribution rights for IPL 2010. UFO owns more than 1,700 digital screens all acorss India and the company is trying its level best to provide the stadium like atmosphere. In this process, they have also routed in cheer leaders to cheer the crowd in stadium. More over cricket fans would be able to purchase cricket-related merchandises and would also have enough facilities like multi cuisines, live bands, food stalls etc.

Youtube To Show IPL 2010

Youtube, the most popular online video streaming site would stream all the upcoming matches of Indian Premier League 2010 (IPL 2010). In a statement by internet supremo Google, they would have an exclusive online rights for telecasting IPL for 2 years. In terms of revenue sharing, both IPL and google will share the revenue earned via sponsorships and advertising.

Indian Premier League chairman Lalit Modi was pleased to announce this and said that this would provide a platform for IPL to reach the global audience.

PCB revokes NOC of Pakistani Players

In a tit for tat reply to the snub at IPL auction, PCB has revoked the No Objection Certificates (NOCs) issued to Pakistan players so that they can feature in the gala IPL-2010. This has eventually ended any hope for Pakistani players to participate in Indian Premier Leagure third edition, 2010.

PCB was quoted “In future, if any player receives an invitation for participation in IPL events, PCB will decide the matter on a case-to-case basis after consulting relevant government authorities.”

Change In IPL Match Time Due To Hockey World Cup

IPL 2010 organizing committee has decided to change the timing of the match on March 13, 2010 due to final of Hockey World Cup. Now the match is advanced by 1 hour as per IPL commissioner Lalit Modi.

‘IPL is very happy that World Cup Hockey is being hosted in our country this year.’ The IPL as a goodwill gesture has decided to advance its league fixture on that day by an hour. Thus, the Mumbai Indians home fixture versus the Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai will now be played at 3 p.m. instead of the earlier scheduled 4 p.m. The IPL together with the billions of Indian hockey fans would like to wish our team all the very best for their upcoming World Cup campaign,’ Lalit Modi said in a statement.
