In a semi final match -2 it was a real team show by Chennai Super Kings and in they end they were successful in maintaining there 100% record against Kings XI Punjab. Today batting first Kings XI could manage only 112 and it was a cakewalk for the Chennai Super Kings as they defeated them by 9 wickets to enter the finals. Now its Rajasthan Royals vs Chennai Super Kings on 1st june and it expected that it will be some what better than the semi finals in which losing teams had a dismal show and it never looked they were posing any threats to the winners.
The semi finals of DLF – IPL are really not something which the spectators wish to see. The teams are scoring much lower than what they did earlier in the tournament. Today is was Kings XI vs Chennai Super Kings and Kings Punjab won the toss and decided to bat first. The decision proved to be really awful as they lost Hopes when the score was just 8. This was not the start anyone wish to have in an all important hopes. Ntini , Morkel and Gony all got two wickets each. After Hopes it was Sangakkara who also went back to pavilion.Soon after Yuvraj and Marsh also were back to pavilion. Batsmen followed one after the another and Kings XI were reeling at 45/6 in 10 overs. In the end it was Powar and Mota who helped them cross the hundred run mark and the team ended with 112 in 20 overs. It looks like the final of Rajasthan Royals vs Chennai Super Kings is on the cards, but cricket is full of uncertainty and thus we are fingers crossed this time.
After a superb performance by Rajasthan Royals in first semi final now is the turn of second semifinal and we hope to see a thriller atleast today. Yesterday it was a meek performance by Delhi Daredevils and we dont hope to such a performance in semi finals after what have been a superb cricket league. Chennai Super Kings had a superb start in the league but after some foreign players left they had struggled where as on the other hand Kings XI Punjab are riding high on the batting performances of Shaun Marsh , Yuvraj and Kumara Sangakarra.
Now it is captain vs vice captain of the winning T20 world cup – M.S.Dhoni vs Yuvraj Singh and as per punters it is Kings XI Punjab who have more odds of winning.Lets wait and watch today and we again hope may the best one wins

Sydney: The Australians have found a stick to beat the Indian Premier League (IPL) with. They feel that the injury to their premier batsman Mathew Hayden is the result of excessive cricket, especially during the Twenty20 tournament that is reaching its climax this weekend.
Hayden complained of the injury at the team’s pre-tour camp in Brisbane earlier this month, but it’s understood the problem is more the result of wear and tear than a sudden setback, reports the Herald Sun.
Clearly, the four matches he played for Chennai Super Kings, scoring 189 runs at an average of 63 off 131 balls, were enough to do some damage and effectively stop the champion opening batsman from fulfilling his contractual obligations to his primary employer, Cricket Australia (CA), the report says.
Hayden is – or was – a cricketing ironman, and has played at times more on will than fitness.
But his serious achilles tendon – a long-time issue – flared while playing in the IPL, the report says.
The IPL is a Twenty20 tournament that may have transformed player payments, and be all the rage in India, but one that very few people are talking about in Australia.
It’s a tournament that, in Australia at least, no one really cares who wins.
Even the most ardent cricket supporters would struggle to name the four semi-finalists, let alone know that West Australian Shaun Marsh is the leading run-scorer.
The report says the Australian board Cricket Australia (CA) had little choice but to appease the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and allow its superstars to take part in the IPL – albeit briefly.
Australia’s players wanted to take part at any cost, though they were to receive only a portion of their bidding prices because of international commitments.
The report quoted a CA official as saying Thursday: “cricket isn’t just a sport any more”.
“And who is to say this won’t happen again? This could become a major problem,” he added, referring to Hayden’s injury.
