At the end of 20 overs, Rajasthan Royals were able to put a decent score of 183/5 and now it was on the bowlers to restrict Kings XI Punjab so that the Royals can open the account in points tally.

Chasing the target of 184, K Sangakkara and Bopara gave them the perfect start. Kings XI Punjab was scoring runs at more than 10 runs per over and it looked that this match will be a very close call. It was here when the Rajasthan Royals seek the opportunity to come back in the match. A very good start was wasted and Kings XI Punjab who once looked would win this match lost the match by 31 runs as they were limited to 152/10 in 19.1 overs.
