Kings XI Punjab won the toss and elected to bat first. But the decision proved to be disastrous as they lost four wickets for just 48 runs on board. Then it was K Sangakarra and Irfan Pathan who played sensible knocks and took the score pass 100.In the 18th over, Pathan fell to Khan and Kings XI Punjab were tottering at 123/5. Soon Sangakkara also lost his wicket and it was almost all over for Kings XI Punjab. A dismal batting performance by Rajasthan Royals or you can say a splendid bowling performance by Punjab helped them to win the match which was earlier considered to be a cake walk for Rajasthan Royals.
