Today in the 61st match of IPL 2013, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to field first. Michael Hussey and Murali Vijay opened the innings for Chennai and the duo gave a flying start as they added 83 runs in 11.3 overs before Hussey was bowled by Binny. This wicket triggered the wicket loss and stopped the momentum for CSK. Suresh Raina, and MS Dhoni fell for 1 and 2 respectively leaving CSK at 89/3 in 12.5 overs. M Vijay completed his half century and was run out after scoring 55. But the brakes on scoring runs was applied by Royal bowlers and finally CSK could post 141/4 in 20 overs.

Chasing 142 to guarantee a place in playoffs, Rajasthan Royals got off to a dismal start as they lost man in form Ajinkya Rahane when the team score was just 14. Soon James Faulkner and Sanju Samson also got out leaving Royals at 19/3 in 4.4 overs. Captain Rahul Dravid and Shane Watson then tried to stabilize the innings but Dravid got out after scoring 28. It was till the 10th over CSK was in total control of the game but in the 11th over, fortunes flipped as Shane Watson and Stuart Binny took charge and hammered CSK bowlers. Shane Watson was particularly severe as he played a match winning innings of 70 off 34 balls which included 6 fours and as many sixes. He was well supported by Stuart Binny and the duo ensured a 5 wicket win over CSK to move to second spot in points tally.
