They lost Gilchrist the very first ball and in the second over they lost Gibbs.Laxman also got out in the third over. These three batsmen failed to even open the account and got ducks. Deccan Chargers were reeling at 1/3 in 2.2 overs. It looked impossible for them to win the match but Smith showed some hope by playing a cameo of 49 runs in just 23 balls.
