Kings XI Punjab continued their good run and thrashed Royal Challangers Bangalore by 32 runs thanks to superb batting by David Miller and bowling by Sandeep Sharma.
Chasing 199 to win, Royal Challengers Bangalore succumbed to the lethal bowling of Sandeep Sharma as he got the wickets of Top three RCB batsmen. RCB lost Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli on successive balls and were struggling at 8/2 in 2.2 overs. Parthiv Patel and Sachin Rana then took the score to 26 when again Sandeep striked and got the wicket of Patel. AB de Villers was the only hope for RCB and he did played beautifully for his 26 ball 53 but lacked support from other end. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals and eventually RCB could manage to score 166/9 in 20 overs and thus lost the match by 32 runs.
Earlier Kings XI Punjab were invited to bat by RCB. The openers Virender Sehwag and Mandeep Singh gaev a thumping start as the duo added 60 runs in first 6 overs. Both the openers fell within the span of 6 balls which brought the most dangerous IPL Jodi Glenn Maxwell and David Miller to the crease. RCB were able to tame Maxwell as he got out after scoring 25 off 11 balls but Miller hammered RCB bowlers to all corners. He scored a brilliant 29 ball 66 and thus helped KXIP post a good total of 198/8 in 20 overs.
