Knight Riders continue to loose where as Kings XI continue to win .Knight Riders were defeated by Kings XI Punjab in the 22nd match of DLF – Indian Premier League. Chasing the target of 179,they lost Ganguly when the team score was 22.Soon Hafeez, Hogg and Dass were also back in the pavilion and the Knight Riders were in dire straits. Half of the team was out in 9.4 overs at a score of 50 and it looked like a mere formality is to be done by Kings XI to win the match but David Hussey and Saha raised some hope and had a partnership of 104 runs.This could not proved to be sufficient as the run rate was way too high for Knight Riders to chase. Knight Riders needed 55 runs in last 3 overs and Hussey and Saha hit some huge sixes and thus they needed19 runs in the last over. The last over was bowled by Irfan Pathan and he gave only 8runs and thus Kings XI won the 4th match in a row.

In the 22nd match of DLF – IPL, Kings XI won the toss and decided to bat first. They got to a good start and scored 28 runs in 3.5 overs before loosing Hopes. The next wicket to go was of Yuvraj Singh who scored a quick fire 17 of just 10 balls. But this wicket stand was a good one for Kings XI and they took the score of the team to 82/2 in 9 overs. Saun Mash was the top scorer with 40 runs of just 32 balls. Other batsmen of Kings XI also chipped in with useful contributions.Kumara Sangakkara  scored some exquisites boundaries and got on to score 28 runs.Piyush Chawala scored 21 runs of 7 balls to finish the innings. The last  over brought some relief for Kings XI and they scored 21 runs in Ishant Sharma’s over. Kings XI finished the innings at 178/6 and now we have to wait and watch what special the bowlers can do so as to restrict the Kolkata Knight Riders from getting that target.

The poor run of Royal Challengers Bangalore ended today and they won today’s match by 3 runs. Chasing the target of 157  Deccan Chargers lost Gilly and Gibbs at team score of 31. Very very special Laxman played the captains knock and was firm on one end. Rohit Sharma came to the center and got into a decent partnership with Laxman. Rohit Sharma and V.V.S.Laxman both scored half centuries and with this half century, Rohit Sharma became the highest run getter in the Indian Premier League and thus will wear the orange cap now. They needed 42 runs in the last 4 overs. Kallis was the bowler and Sharma hit the 1st ball for a four and the second for a six.In an effort to hit one more six, Rohit Sharma got out after having a partnership of 96 with Laxman.Afridi was the one who came after the dismissal of Sharma and Deccan Chargers needed 29 runs in 18 balls.Afridi was out for 1 and it looked that Royal Challengers are back again in the game.Wickets were falling continuously and the main stay Laxman was also out leaving the team in  need of 25 runs from 2 overs. Zaheer got Styris in the second last over and bowled an excellent line. Deccan Chargers needed 20 runs in the last over and that proved to be too much for them. Deccan Chargers could not capitalize on the innings of Laxman and Rohit Sharma and lost a match which was almost in their favor. Kumble was hit for 2 sixes and Deccan Chargers needed 5 off the last bowl but they could not score it and thus Royal Challengers Bangalore Won By 3 Runs.It was a match which witnessed  changing fortunes in the last 5 overs. Earlier it looked that Deccan Chargers would easily win the match but some excellent bowling by Royal Challengers Bangalore assured the win.

In the match number 21 of DLF – IPL, Royal Challengers had to play against Deccan Chargers. Deccan Chargers won the toss and decided to field first. They got an initial breakthrough when Royal Challengers had just scored 13 runs in form of Chipli. But then Jaffer and Kohli played good shots and took the score to 85. Jaffer got out at this score. Kallis was the next to go without doing much.Misbah who is said to be the T20 special also came and without doing much was sent back by the pakistani counterpart Shahid Afridi. Kallis, Virat Kohli and Misbah got out in quick succession and it looked that Royal Challengers are again in some serious problems. But Rahul Dravid played some good shots and took the score to 156 in 20 overs. He hit 2 sixes in the last over before perishing on the last ball of the innings.Much was expected from Boucher and Misbah but both failed. Now its the turn of Royal Challenger bowlers to make a match out of it.
