Shah Rukh is a wonderful person who knows a lot about music. I love him as a person. He knows how to respect elders and hence has reached the undisputed position of Baadshah of Bollywood today. My best wishes that he keeps getting more and more success”.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi expressed his disapproval of auctioning of players for the Indian Premier League. “It is not acceptable to me,” Karunanidhi, an avid follower of cricket, told reporters when asked about the auctioning.

Marvan Atapattu says: “I think the bidding was an indication of your worth. They should not have done it in the open. It was humiliating for some players.”

Following were the words by the highy paid superstar Shahrukh Khan when he was asked about the sponsors of Indian Premier League

 “Belmont, Nokia, HDIL and Tag Heur are already with me. To be very honest, I think we are the only team that needs sponsors. Reliance, Kingfisher and GMR have lots of money. They are public limited companies. We are the only private limited company trying to make a foray into this. It’s not that sponsors will come on board (on their own), I am begging them to come on board so we can live this dream.”

“I think we got 80 to 90 per cent of what we wanted. I am very happy with it. I personally didn’t enjoy the auction, I am very odd with these kind of things. It was fun to go there but was a little embarrassing to sit and raise hands and all, so I didn’t do it.”
