Kings XI Punjab might have to play few matches of DLF IPL without England sensational fast bowler Stuart Broad as he was flew home during an ongoing Test Series. He is reported to be suffering from a calf strain
“Annoyed to be going home a week early. Not a major injury, just couldn’t get through a whole Test match,” Broad wrote on his Twitter account.
“Broad has been ruled out of the final Test against Sri Lanka after a scan today confirmed a right calf strain,” the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed in a statement.

The Australian skipper, Michael Clarke has finally signed the deal with Pune Warriors for the fifth edition of the Indian Premier League which will start from April 4, 2012
“We are thrilled to have Michael Clarke on board. The reigning Australian skipper is one of the world’s best cricketers. His presence in the side, and cricketing proficiency, will boost the prospects of Pune Warriors India in the DLF IPL 2012,” said managing director, Sahara Adventure Sports Ltd Sushanto Roy.
Clarke who will be making his debut in IPL will not be available for first three weeks due to the Test series in West Indies but will come to India in May, 2012.
In a relief to all Mumbai Indian fans, BCCI has confirmed Sachin Tendulkar’s participation in the upcoming season of DLF IPL which will start on April 4th, 2012.
Earlier reports in media have raised serious doubts about Sachin’s participation as the master blaster flew to London to consult a specialist relating to his toe injury.
Mumbai Indian and BCCI sources have confirmed that the master blaster will be back till 31st March and is all set to take part in the fist match on April 4 against Chennai Super Kings.

Deccan Charger’s fast bowler Ishant Sharma has been ruled out for six months after an ankle surgery where as Delhi Daredevil’s Ross Taylor might miss the entire IPL season after being hit by Morne Morkel bowl in a New Zealand vs South Africa test match. Taylor is left with a broken wrist and thus the chances of his recovery before IPL ends seem negligible.
