Pomersbach and Katich raised some hopes but those were also shattered soon as wickets started felling like a heap of cards. From 32/2 Kings XI Punjab were reduced to 67/7 with 48 runs more needed of just 3 overs. It looked an impossible task and Kings XI Punjab succumbed to the increasing run rate pressure and thus loosing the match by 24 runs. Also with this loss, Kings XI Punjab are now out of IPL-2
