Man of the match – Parthiv Patel
Due to superb batting and temperament display by Parthiv Patel and AB de Villiers, RCB pulled from shambles to win the match comfortably by 7 wickets. Earlier three wickets of RCB fell within the span of 1 run and it looked that with the departure of Virat Kohli and Yuvraj, it would be a easy win for MUmbai but Parthiv Patel and AB de Villiers had a unbeaten partnership which lead to the second defeat of Mumbai in as many matches.
Earlier Mumbai was invited to bat by RCB and they got a decent start with the team posting 52/2 in 6.5 overs. Once Aditya Tare got out, the entire team started to fall into bits and pieces as from 52/2 they were reduced to 70/4 in 11.2 overs. Ambati Rayudu and Corey Anderson then showed some hope but in the 17th over they both got out and eventually Mumbai were able to post a total of 115/9 in 20 overs.
