A sensational batting from Virender Sehwag dashed the hopes of Rajasthan Royals who were earlier limited to 141/6 in 20 overs. Opening the batting for Delhi Daredevils, Gautam Gambhir and Sehwag pushed the run pedal right from the first over. Though Delhi Daredevils lost two quick wickets in 4th over but the Indian Run Machine – Sehwag was not deterred. He was thrashing the Rajasthan Royals bowlers as if he was playing against a local school team.
Sehwag rushed to his half century in just 21 balls. Even after 50’s he didnt stopped and thrashed the bowlers to all corners of the ground. Delhi Daredevils were comfortably placed at 90/2 in 9 overs. After scoring 75 runs off just 34 balls with 8 fours and 5 sixes, Sehwag was eventually out. Rajasthan Royals could finally have some breath but that innings of Sehwag had taken the match out of RR’s hands.
Delhi Daredevils won the match in the 18th over.
