Chennai who won the toss and elected to bat first were restricted to a modest total of 139 as superb bowling by KKR bowlers never allowed them to free their arms.

Gautam Gambhir the captain of KKR played a superb innings of 63 and took this team to victory. He was brilliantly supported by Kallis who made 26. The duo had a 70 run partnership and this was the partnership which took KKR towards the target. Finally it was D Das who scored 11 off 4 balls to take his team to victory and Gambhir handed over his man of the match award to D Das for finishing it well.
