Kings XI defeated Mumbai Indians today in the 10 th match of DLF – IPL by 66 runs. Brett Lee was the one who started at a fiercing pace and got rid of Jayasurya first and then Ronchi was superbly run out. It was a nightmare for Mumbai Indians as they had never expected such a start in chasing the score which was easily achievable. But Kings XI Punjab’s bowlers did a splendid job and took wickets at regular interval. Piyush Chawla was the one who changed the game in 1 over by taking 2 wickets and giving just 4 runs. Pollock on the batting end was playing a responsible innings and was posing a threat to Kings XI Punjab but Yuvraj singh took a stunning one handed catch to get rid of him. Once Pollock went back to dressing room, it was a mere formality left. Run Rate needed was more than 25 per over when 3 overs were left and happiness could be easily seen on the faces of Kings XI team players.
Preity Zinta and Daler Mehndi were seen smiling, dancing and cheering the team. It was the first victory for Kings XI Punjab in DLF – IPL where as Mumbai Indians still have to wait for Tendulkar as well as the victory.
