Indian Premier League will not be screened in movie halls in Bangalore this year. The decision was taken by IPL governing body and conveyed to all multiplex and theater owners.

“No multiplex or theatre in the city will be screening any of the IPL matches,” said Amit Varma, Assistant Manager, Film Cell Executive, PVR Cinemas.

Bangalore crowd had enjoyed IPL matches on big screen in the past editions and during IPL, Bollywood avoids movie releases and thus it was perfect way to keep the multiplexes occupied. But this time around, the owners have to think about a new way to attract crowds.
