In a decision taken by IPL committee, the venue for first Qualifier and Eliminator of the ongoing IPL season 6 2013, were shifted to Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi.

Earlier these matches were to be played at Chennai but Tamil Nadu government’s decision to not to allow Sri Lankan players to play at Chennai had created a suspense over this issue.

“The play-offs have been shifted to Delhi from Chennai. The issue was discussed in detail with BCCI President Srinivasan before it was decided to shift the venue,” IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla said.

Earlier franchises have raised concern about the statement made by Tamil officials to not to allow Sri Lankan players to enter the state. Now with this decision, franchise and even fans can be rest assured that these two crucial matches will be featuring the best available playing eleven.
