In what could have been a new controversy for Lalit Modi and Indian premier league 2010, Andhra Pradesh Sports Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has urged the reigning champions to boycott IPL 2010.

The minister was angry because of the shifting of the inaugural match out of Hyderabad. It should be noticed that few days ago, Lalit Modi has shifted the inaugural match to Mumbai due to the continous lawlessness in AP after the Telengana issue. The minister said “As a Sports Minister hailing from Telangana, I assure the organisers about full cooperation from the cricket-loving State.” On the other hand, The Deccan Chargers had not clear the stand but if Lalit Modi is to be believed, he said no such information has been circulated to him till date.
