West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo will join the lucrative Indian Premier League (IPL) alongside Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar and South African fast bowler Shaun Pollock for the Mumbai Indians. As a result, Bravo is out of the Trinidad and Tobago team for next week’s Carib Challenge Shield Final against Jamaica. Despite the loss, T&T manager Colin Borde feels that the experience Bravo gains in the IPL will benefit the national team in the long run.
“I think everybody is excited for him going up to the IPL and playing with Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh, Shaun Pollock,” Borde told CCN TV6. “I think it’s good for him and as a Trinidadian you must feel proud…he’s the first guy to get in the IPL.”
